How to Use the App

📸Barcode Scanning Features

After Scanning a Food Barcode:

  • Add to My Foods: This saves the scanned item to your personal nutritional reference library. You can access it later from the "Reference" button on the nutrition page for quick logging without scanning again.
  • Quick Log: Instantly logs the food to today's meal with default serving size. Perfect for when you're in a hurry!
  • Add to a Meal: Opens the full meal logging interface where you can customize the serving size, add multiple foods together, and give your meal a name before logging.

Important Note: Most barcodes display nutrition per 100g. Always adjust the serving size to match what you're actually eating!

💪Workout Logging Features

Individual Set Logging:

For each exercise, you have two options:

  • Quick Entry: Enter total sets and reps (e.g., "3 sets of 10 reps @ 100kg"). This is fastest for consistent sets.
  • Detailed Set Logging: Click the "Log Individual Sets" button to track each set separately. Perfect for:
    • Drop sets or pyramid training
    • Tracking warm-up sets vs working sets
    • Recording when you hit failure on different sets
    • Accurate progressive overload tracking

Pro Tip: The app auto-saves your workout draft to your device every 3 seconds, so you won't lose progress if you accidentally close the page!

📱QR Code Features

Two Types of QR Codes:

  • Recipe QR Codes: Found in BarbellBites recipe books (like "Pure Plant Protein"). Scan these to instantly view complete recipes with full nutritional breakdowns. Premium users can log these meals instantly!
  • Workout Plan QR Codes: Found in workout program PDFs. Scan to load pre-built training plans directly into your workout logger with all exercises, sets, and reps pre-filled.
